Cudillero is a handmade metal bed that combines clean design with natural warmth. Soft curves and horizontal lines give it a modern, refined character. The bed suits modern, warm or more eclectic interiors.
Design and details
The frame is made entirely of metal, with solid wood elements on the headboard and footboard. These are available in cherry or walnut and form an elegant contrast with the metal structure. The wood adds depth and warmth to an otherwise understated design.
Finish and sizes
For the metal you can choose from 17 colours, including C03/Anthracite, TU/4 Matt black, C/05 White and N/2 Patinated brown. Cudillero is available in widths of 120, 140, 160, 180 and 200 cm, in lengths of 200, 210 or 220 cm. For the bed base, you can choose a standard frame, a frame for electric slatted bases or a heavy-duty frame.
Craftsmanship
The bed is made in Italian forges where generations of craftsmanship go hand in hand with modern techniques. Each bed is individually hand-forged, given several layers of primer and finished in one of the colours on offer. The result is a bed frame that lasts 30 years or more.

Bed frame types for this bed
This bed offers several bed frame options to meet all your requirements. Each type has been carefully designed with attention to both functionality and durability. Below you will find detailed information about the different bed frames.
Standard frame
The standard frame strikes a perfect balance between sturdiness and elegance. This construction has two robust support beams running horizontally from left to right. For extra stability, each support beam has a small support leg in the middle.
These support beams form a solid foundation for various bases, such as slatted bed bases, spring bases or box spring bases.
Adjustable sleeping height
A special feature of this bed is that the sleeping height can be set in two different positions using the L-shaped profiles. The standard frame has a height of 15 cm, which results in a sleeping height of 25 cm.
If you choose the raised 20 cm bed frame, the sleeping height is actually 5 cm lower, namely 20 cm. This is because the top of both bed frames sits at the same height, but the bottom of the sleeping surface differs. This construction gives you the flexibility to adjust the sleeping height to your personal preference.
Frame for electric slatted bases
Especially for lovers of adjustable sleeping comfort, we have developed an adapted bed frame. Unlike the standard model, this bed frame has no horizontal support beams, but one central support beam that runs lengthways from the headboard to the footboard.
Two L-profiles are attached to both sides for extra support. This clever construction ensures there are no conflicts with the motors and mechanical parts of your electrically adjustable slatted base, so you can make full use of all the adjustment options.
Heavy-duty frame
For situations that require extra load-bearing capacity, we offer a specially reinforced bed frame. This robust construction has no fewer than five horizontal support beams instead of the usual two, and a fully reinforced bed structure.
This type of bed frame is perfect for installing waterbeds or for particularly heavy mattresses and bases. The reinforced construction guarantees years of stability and safety, even under the most demanding conditions.
Calculate your total sleeping height
The total sleeping height of your bed is determined by three components:
- The sleeping height of the bed frame (standard 25 cm or optionally 20 cm)
- The thickness of the slatted bed base
- The thickness of the mattress
Example calculation
If, for example, you combine this bed with a 13 cm thick slatted bed base and a 23 cm thick mattress, you arrive at a total height of:
With the standard frame (sleeping height 25 cm):
25 cm (sleeping height) + 13 cm (slatted base) + 23 cm (mattress) = 61 cm
With the raised bed frame (sleeping height 20 cm):
20 cm (sleeping height) + 13 cm (slatted base) + 23 cm (mattress) = 56 cm
This calculation gives you a clear picture in advance of the final height of your bed, so you can decide whether it suits your personal preference and physical needs.
