My husband and I share a broad interest in art. He paints, and I make sculptures.
We appreciate beautiful things: objects made with love, that carry the soul of their maker and let you discover the beauty of the creation.
We choose our furniture for honest craftsmanship, too.
So 13 years ago, we bought a handmade wrought-iron bed from FerroBellissimo. It was made in Italy by a blacksmith working in an old coal-fired forge. We happened to be on holiday at Lake Garda in Italy while our bed was being made, and the people at FerroBellissimo kindly arranged for us to visit the forge in Como and watch it being made.
We will never forget it. Often, when we snuggle into our beautiful bed, we still think back to that visit and the skill with which the blacksmith made our bed. For us, it is a unique holiday souvenir.
