It must have been 2010 or 2011 when we found our way to the FerroBellissimo showroom.
I still remember that the saleswoman was an Italian lady, and she spoke with great enthusiasm about the wrought-iron beds that were made in Italy.
My husband and I had been looking for a beautiful bed like that for a while. When I stayed over at my grandmother's as a child, I always got to sleep in a really lovely iron bed.
I had such fond memories of it that I had always wanted a bed like that.
For years I searched for a bed that looked like the one at my grandmother's. When I saw the FerroBellissimo website, I knew straight away. Not exactly the same, but very similar.
The lady in the showroom was very helpful, and together we made a few changes to the design so that it would look even more like my grandmother's bed.
Now, all these years later, I am still very happy with our bed. What makes it special is that it was made especially for us, with those "small" changes. Since then my daughter has bought a FerroBellissimo metal bed too. Very different and modern, but it suits her home perfectly. In our family, it seems, it is one of those things that passes from generation to generation.
