We own a 350-year-old house in the centre of Paris.
In 2021 our home was badly damaged by fire. The renovation work to restore the house to its original state took more than 2 years.
Almost all our furniture was ruined by smoke or water damage.
One of the few pieces of furniture to survive the fire was a bed we bought from FerroBellissimo in 2009.
Once everything had dried out after the firefighting, we had the bed dismantled and professionally cleaned.
With a new mattress and a new slatted bed base, the bed looks as good as new.
For us it meant a great deal emotionally to keep this bed in our home, and we are very glad that it worked out.
