Collection: Duvets
When choosing a comforter, first consider warmth and then the filling: natural down or synthetic fiber. We have two down comforters from Moshy Naturalia and one Moshy comforter that inhibits the growth of dust mites. They are available in sizes ranging from 140 × 200 to 300 × 240 cm.
How warm should your comforter be?
That depends on you and your bedroom. The more filling per square meter, the warmer the comforter. If you tend to get warm easily, choose a lighter version. If you sleep in a cool room, you can go for a slightly warmer one. Isaba is available in three warmth levels and as a 4-season comforter for year-round use. With Everest, you can also choose the Bi-zone option: warmer at the head and chest, lighter at the foot of the bed.
Down or synthetic?
Down is light and supple and provides natural warmth. It absorbs moisture and wicks it away, keeping you dry. Everest is filled with 95% European duck down, while Volga contains 85% down and a bit more fine feathers. In both, a cassette construction ensures that heat is distributed evenly, without any cold spots. Prefer not to use down? Then there’s a synthetic alternative.
Are you sensitive to dust mites?
Then choose Isaba. Special anti-mite fibers create a dry microclimate that inhibits the growth of dust mites, making this comforter suitable for sensitive sleepers as well. The Sanforized cotton cover is breathable, and since the comforter can be washed at 60 °C, it’s easy to keep hygienic. If you’d also like to protect your mattress, check out our mattress protectors.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which comforter should you choose if you tend to get hot easily?
A lightweight option: Isaba at 150 g/m² or Everest at 180 g/m². For year-round use, there’s the Isaba 4-season comforter, which consists of one section at 250 g/m² and one section at 150 g/m².
Can a down comforter be washed in the washing machine?
Everest and Volga are machine-washable at 30 °C. Be sure to use a special down detergent; for Everest, we also recommend professional cleaning. Shake out the comforter thoroughly on a regular basis. This allows the down clusters to re-inflate and helps maintain its volume.
What sizes are available?
All three comforters are available in sizes ranging from 140 × 200 to 260 × 240 cm. The Everest is also available in larger sizes: 280 × 240 and 300 × 240 cm. A matching pillow completes the set. You can read more about warmth and filling in our article on choosing a comforter.
